The trial of Oscar Wilde and Alfred Taylor was resumed in the Central Criminal Court,
Old Bailey, today. A number of letters written by
the prisoners to young Maver and others were read. The judge said he had received
a letter from a distinguished literary man expressing sympathy with
Wilde and hoping that the charges against him would be disproved.
